About the New Mexico Airport System Plan (ASP) Update
As an important part of maintaining and enhancing the state’s aviation transportation infrastructure, the New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) – Aviation Division is conducting an update of the NMASP. This plan update will evaluate the needs of the State’s airport system, justify funding for needed airport improvements, and provide information for governmental and other entities concerning the value, use, and requirements of the New Mexico’s system of airports.
Goals of the plan are to:
- Increase/Enhanced Safety and Security
- Preserve/Protect Investment in Airports
- Accommodate Existing and Projected Aviation Demand
- Support Economic Growth of the Community
Project Team
Coffman Associates
Coffman Associates (a Pape-Dawson Company), a national aviation consulting firm specializing in airport planning studies, was selected following a qualifications-based selection process. Additional support will be provided by several subconsultants that will provide services for various elements/tasks of the master planning process.
